Simone Rambotti

Assistant Professor of Sociology

Loyola University New Orleans

Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Loyola University New Orleans. My research broadly investigates how social and institutional factors influence the distribution of health. I often use a structural-comparative perspective. I use a broad variety of methodological approaches, such as longitudinal analysis, multilevel modeling, and a case-oriented approach to regression analysis.

I am currently guest co-editing a special issue of Sociological Perspectives on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and society.

I recently joined the Louisiana COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force as chair of the COVID-19 Data and Analysis subcommittee. Our report is available at the Southern University System.
